Hālau Ha'a Kea o Mokihana
Please join us to learn the culture and dance of Hawai'i in a traditional, 'ohana (family)
setting under the guidance of Kumu Hula Paul Neves from Keaukaha, Hawai'i near Hilo.
Hula Year
The year runs from mid-January through mid-December with breaks from July 1st to
August 14th and December 16 to January 15.
- Session #1 is from January 15 through June 30
- Session #2 is from August 15 through December 15.

All ages and skill levels are welcome.

Educational Seminars
Kumu Paul is a gifted educator and orator who has spoken at venues around the
world. When he is in the Washington DC area he is available to speak to clubs, schools
and groups to provide spiritual, cultural and political analyses about Hawai'i and the

Hälau Fund Raising Events
Kumu Paul and the hälau will conduct events to raise funds to defray operational
costs. Events will be posted. Performances may be scheduled for selected events
when Kumu Paul is in the Washington DC area. All proposals and requests for

Workshops for Haumāna
Kumu Paul hosts two cultural immersion workshops at his home. These workshops
focus on the culture, as well as, hula and are open to all of the haumāna (students).
Immersion workshops will be held during Summer and in early Spring to coincide with
the Merrie Monarch Hula Festival that is held in Hilo, Hawai'i. (Air fare to Hawai'i is the
responsibility of the haumāna (student).)
